Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko, the Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai fighter from Peru and a mixed martial art artist that is competing with her country in UFC at the flyweight division,. She's now fighting. Shevchenko is the elder sister of the former UFC Flyweight champ as well as fellow UFC athlete Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as an Muay Thai boxer. She debuted in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of the event and beat Suzane Mill at the end of the tournament by a unanimous decision. Antonina Shychenko's first professional MMA debut came in 2002 during the KFK Championships of Kyrgystan when she faced Anara Bayanova. Shevchenko defeated Anissa with a majority decision. She she then beat Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. In 2018, she resigned from the league and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina used her superior punching abilities in order to TKO Nievera in the clinch with knees and body. The result was that Antonina was given a UFC contract. Antonina made her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Kim through a unanimous win, however she fell in her subsequent fight to Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss after defeating Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler with a back-naked choke. She was awarded the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko was 1-2 over her subsequent three bouts. She beat Ariane Lipski, and lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee.
