Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, better called Ari Lennox, is an American artist and performer from Washington, D.C., who was the first female to be signed to J. Cole's Dreamville Records record label. Dreamville Records released her debut album titled Pho in the month of October 2016, and she was able getting noticed. Shea Butter Baby released her debut studio album on 7 May 2019. Ari Lennox began uploading her music on the internet in 2012 as she released her debut mixtape called Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography In 2013. In 2014, Ari Lennox dropped her single Bound and the mixtape she self-released, Five Finger Discount. The 21st day of July, the 21st of July in 2015 Omen included her in Elephant Eyes the track"Sweat it Out.. J. Cole had her sing her songs to the Dreamville Team later in the year, as he wanted Rihanna to collaborate with her on some references. The news was released on December 8 that she had signed with Dreamville Records. Backseat was her contribution for the Revenge of the Dreamers II album. In October 21st, 2016, her debut EP was released under the name Pho. Ari Lennox then appeared as the opening act for J. Cole on his song Change in 2017. She also performed on 4 Your Eyez Only Tour. In 2018, Ari Lennox performed on two tracks with EarthGang and EarthGang, on Nothing but the Best, and Bas on Icarus. On July 16 2018 Ari Lennox released the first single, Whipped Cream on her first album Shea Butter Baby with an accompanying music video, which was released on the 5th of September. Her second single called Grampa on the 9th of November. On the 13th of November, two brand new singles titled The No One and pedigree. The singer appeared alongside Cole in The Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby, on November 16th, and made the track available in a solo version to the album she released her debut. The track was accompanied by a music video that was released on February 20, 2019 and surpassed 3 million views via YouTube in the first week. In December 2018, she performed as a supporting act on The From East Atlanta With Love Tour with 6LACK.
